Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years’. 2019 was a great year in my own personal life, and I hope it was a great year in yours. I have grown spiritually, physically, financially, emotionally, and otherwise. However, I still have more growth to do. As the saying goes: If you aren’t growing, you’re dying. Growth is necessary. As our circumstances change, we must grow in order to adapt to them. Here are the ways in which I hope to grow this year:
- More Patience: I really struggle with being patient. I guess this comes from growing up in a first-world country, where everything happens instantly. This seems to be a problem with most Americans, but I really struggle with it. I have an issue waiting for things. I want instant success, and when I don’t get it, I get frustrated and give up. I want my blog to be viewed by thousands of people, when it has only been online for a few months; I want a promotion at work, when I just started working there; I want the person driving in front of me to drive faster, even though I am the one who is running late to work.
- Less Laziness: I haven’t been working as hard as I should on myself. I get tired and sleep when I should be working. For example, I don’t update my blog as often as I should because I, quite frankly, don’t feel like it. This blog is extremely important to me, and if I’m not updating it as often as I should, then how do my ideas get out there?
- Being More Optimistic: I have often struggled with being pessimistic about my own life and humanity. I don’t believe that we can overcome the problems we face. When one turns on the news, one is surrounded by doom and gloom. However, the world has never been better in many aspects, and my life has never been better than it is now. I need to have more faith in the world and myself this year.
I would love to hear your thoughts on my resolutions. What are some of the resolutions you have?
